In SAP SD, the concept of Independent Requirements Reduction/Withdrawal Quantity refers to the reduction or withdrawal of the quantity of a product that was previously planned or forecasted for a specific period.

Independent requirements are typically used in scenarios where the demand for a product is not directly linked to a sales order or customer requirement. Instead, it is based on factors such as historical sales data, market trends, or forecasts.

When there is a need to adjust the planned or forecasted quantity, the Independent Requirements Reduction/Withdrawal Quantity comes into play. It allows you to decrease the quantity that was previously planned or forecasted for a particular period.

By reducing or withdrawing the quantity, you can reflect changes in market demand, customer requirements, or any other factors that may impact the planned production or procurement of the product.

In SAP SD, you can perform the Independent Requirements Reduction/Withdrawal Quantity through various means, such as using the transaction code MD74 or by adjusting the independent requirements directly in the material master data.
